Early road tests prepare for later ones

Roy Williams has always tried to be careful about how he schedules for different teams. For more seasoned squads, he prefers stronger tests (and said often last season that he wishes he could have played Texas on the road to try to toughen up a month-long nine-game home stretch). He tends to be a little more careful with younger teams, like the one he’ll groom next season after the loss of four starters. (ESPN.com)
