Tar Heels top Wake, move into favorite role as FSU falls

UNC used timely hitting, strong fielding and an excellent bullpen in its first ACC Tournament game against No. 7 Wake Forest. Six Tar Heels combined for a shutout, and both had two-out RBI hits in a four-run third inning and centerfielder threw out a runner at home as No. 2 seed UNC beat the Demon Deacons 6-0 Wednesday night.
