Posted Jun 2, 2012
UNC pitched out of two tight late-inning jams and got four hits from a rejuvenated Colin Moran to down Cornell 7-4 in the NCAA baseball tournament's Chapel Hill Regional on Friday. Reliever Michael Morin got his 18th save in front of 1,677 at Boshamer Stadium to tie the UNC single-season record, but had to work extremely hard in the ninth inning to thwart a Cornell rally.
