North Carolina center fielder Chaz Frank jogged quietly off the field from near second base, where he was stranded to end the game, as St. John’s players flooded the field to celebrate an improbable feat. North Carolina had been eliminated from the NCAA Tournament with a 9-5 setback Sunday night at Boshamer Stadium.
