Troy Williams to try out for USA U18 basketball team


Rising senior from Hampton is one of 23 players invited to USA Basketball’s 18-and-under training camp in Colorado Springs, Colo., beginning Tuesday. Williams, a 6-7 forward slated to attend Oak Hill Academy next season, will compete to make the 12-man roster that will play at the FIBA Americas U18 Championship on June 16-20 in Brazil. The team will be coached by Florida’s Billy Donovan and assisted by Shaka Smart of VCU and Mark Few from Gonzaga. (Daily Press)
