Hakeem Nicks doesn't garner 'C', but his play did Saturday
Posted Oct 14, 2007
North Carolina voted on its four captains during a private meeting two weeks ago. Hakeem Nicks was not elected to wear a 'C' on his jersey, but his performance Saturday proved he is one of the Tar Heels' leaders, even without the title. Nicks missed most of the third quarter due to an ankle injury in UNC's 21-15 loss to South Carolina. When Nicks returned to the field, he played up to his status as one of the better receivers in the ACC.
