Pro Am ready for another summer run at NCCU
Posted Jun 19, 2012
Organizers for the S.J.G. Greater N.C. Pro Am are taking a less-is-more approach to this year’s summer basketball league. After including 10 men’s teams and playing a four-team women’s league a year ago, the Pro Am will include eight men’s teams while shutting down the women’s games. Former North Carolina player and 17-year NBA veteran Jerry Stackhouse, one of the league’s founders, said fielding fewer teams will increase the quality of play.
