Britt, Purvis, Sulaimon, Randle help lead U18 team into semifinal round

The United States has reached the semifinals of the FIBA Americas U18 Championships in Sao SebastiƔo do Paraiso, Brazil. With local signees or commits Rodney Purvis (N.C. State), Rasheed Sulaimon (Duke) and Nate Britt (North Carolina) in the fold, the U.S. team has advanced to face Argentina tonight. The winner plays Canada or Brazil in Wednesday's final. After an 83-64 win against Brazil on Monday, the Americans are 3-0.
