Coaching connections secure series between Tar Heels, Blazers

New University of Alabama-Birmingham men’s basketball coach Jerod Haase has parlayed his North Carolina connection into a three-year series with the Tar Heels. The Blazers and Tar Heels meet in Chapel Hill on Dec. 1 and again two years later. They’ll play at UAB’s Bartow Arena during the 2013-14 season. (Burlington Times News)
