Casey Barth will have to kick his way back into Groza Award contention

Casey Barth showed he was healthy again by kicking a pair of field goals in North Carolina’s spring football game in April. But apparently, the Lou Groza Award committee still has it’s doubts about the redshirt senior. Barth, who made the preseason watch list for the award in 2011 before his season-altering groin injury, was left off the early list of candidates for this year’s honor.
