UNC-USC fight over name

The "real Carolina" could be draped in the Gamecocks' garnet and black -- or the Tar Heels' Carolina blue, depending on which fans you talk to. But historically, the decision goes to South Carolina. The debate dates to Colonial times, according to a local historian, and is heating up in anticipation of Saturday's matchup between USC and UNC , the first time the two teams have met on a football field since 1991.
