Last Time: Carolina beat South Carolina 21-17 in Kenan Stadium on November 16, 1991. Natrone Means rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Jason Stanicek threw for two touchdowns and the Carolina defense had eight sacks. Linebacker coach and former Tar Heel Tommy Thigpen started at linebacker and had six tackles. South Carolina outgained Carolina 332-311, but Carolina outrushed the Gamecocks, 192-39.
