Austin Nichols trims college list to six, eliminates UNC

Briarcrest senior forward , whom ESPN last week named the No. 10 player in the nation, trimmed his list Sunday to six schools: Memphis, Auburn, Tennessee, Virginia, Duke, and Vanderbilt. “We were a little late cutting the list, but we had to get it done and we were confident in each school,” Nichols said. The 6-8, 215-pound Nichols is rated a 5-star prospect by ESPN. His father, Mark Nichols, said they plan to take official visits to Virginia, Auburn, Tennessee, Duke and Vanderbilt.
