Former Tar Heels Tobin Heath and Heather O’Reilly helped Team USA avenge its World Cup loss to Japan with a 2-1 victory on Thursday. The match broke an Olympic women’s soccer attendance record, drawing over 80,000 spectators to Wembley stadium. Meanwhile, another former UNC player, Robyn Gayle, and the Canadian women defeated France in the bronze medal game.
