Spurrier not talking about 1989 UNC game
Posted Oct 10, 2007
Some history Steve Spurrier thinks is important. Other history, he would just rather avoid, at least ostensibly. For instance, Spurrier doesn’t have much to say about the last time he coached a game at North Carolina’s Kenan Stadium, although it was a happy time for South Carolina’s ball coach. Spurrier’s 1989 Duke team laid waste to the Tar Heels 41-0 that November day to claim a share of the ACC title.
