South Carolina’s talent, not coach, concerns Davis
Posted Oct 9, 2007
Butch Davis is more concerned about South Carolina’s team than about Steve Spurrier. The Gamecocks have won two straight since dropping their only game of the year to LSU on Sept. 22 by a 28-16 score. “This will be an enormous challenge,’’ Davis said. "South Carolina, with the exception of a 12-point loss against LSU, which is arguably the best team in the country, is clearly the best football team we’ve played."
