Years later, Spurrier remains a lightning rod for UNC fans

Steve Spurrier meets Butch Davis on Saturday in Kenan Stadium. You excited? To put this matchup -- South Carolina (5-1) at North Carolina (2-4) -- in perspective, consider this: Spurrier's last swagger into Chapel Hill on Nov. 18, 1989, resulted in Duke's 41-0 blowout of Mack Brown's Tar Heels. Spurrier had a photograph taken of his players under the scoreboard after the game.
