North Carolina’s chances for an upset over the 19th-ranked Cardinals on Saturday were dealt what seemed like a lethal blow in the first half. There were different explanations for UNC’s performance before halftime. “It was lack of effort, lack of intensity, lack of passion, lack of enthusiasm, a lot of mental mistakes, you name it,” head coach Larry Fedora told reporters following the loss.
