Roy Williams' Surgery Surprises Team

Dexter Strickland was lying in bed on Tuesday night when he got a phone call from Eric Hoots, UNC’s director of player relations, telling him that Roy Williams had scheduled a team meeting at 10pm. During that meeting in the players’ Smith Center locker room, Williams told his team that he was having surgery on Wednesday morning to remove a tumor from his right kidney. (Inside Carolina)
