Two new problems confront North Carolina athletic director

Bubba Cunningham has dealt with many unexpected and serious issues since becoming athletic director at UNC last November. But two of the most difficult for Cunningham occurred in the past week. First, the man who hired him, Chancellor Holden Thorp, announced his resignation Monday. Then UNC's Hall of Fame men's basketball coach, Roy Williams, had surgery Wednesday to remove a tumor from his kidney. (Fayetteville Observer)
