As far as his coach is concerned, Giovani Bernard’s presence on the field was far more important to UNC than the numbers he put on the final stat sheet. “I think it’s a boost for your team anytime you get anybody back,” coach Larry Fedora said. “You gain confidence when you gain starters getting back in the lineup, and that’s got to help.”
