Butch Davis revamping Carolina program

Now that he's back in the college game after a half-dozen years spent in the NFL and broadcasting, Butch Davis will start butting heads with his former protégé Randy Shannon. Not only do their schools share membership in the ACC, Davis remains a respected name on the South Florida scene. He's the one who guided the program through the wilderness of scholarship restrictions and molded a more lawful image for the Hurricanes.
