Butch Davis left Randy Shannon a blueprint to follow with the University of Miami football team
Posted Oct 6, 2007
Butch Davis rebuilt the University of Miami into a college football power at the start of this decade. Today, he'll try to beat the Hurricanes as they seek another resurgence under new coach Randy Shannon. Davis and his new team, the North Carolina Tar Heels, will entertain Miami this afternoon. "My wife Tammy and I spent close to 12 years coaching and living in South Florida," Davis said. "We still have a lot of friends there."
