After setting a school record last week for points and margin of victory, North Carolina coach Larry Fedora spoke of the importance of not suffering a letdown, and of protecting the home field here on Saturday against Virginia Tech. Mission accomplished. The Tar Heels overcame a season-high 15 penalties and used another strong third quarter to finish with a 48-34 victory against the Hokies.
