Mistakes doom Hokies as UNC rolls

Sophomore tailback and the North Carolina offense left a Tar Heel-shaped footprint on the chest of the Hokies’ defense, stomping their way to 339 rushing yards, the third most ever allowed by the Hokies, in a 48-34 win Saturday. Bernard totaled 262 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries, humbling the Hokies’ defense with the highest yardage total ever by an opposing back. (Richmond Times-Dispatch)
