Giovani Bernard’s time comes for UNC

Bryn Renner and Giovani Bernard were watching the NFL game on Thursday when their thoughts turned to the Virginia Tech contest two days later. “We need to take it on ourselves and win one of these games,” Renner said to his roommate. “It’s our time.” Bernard took over against the Hokies, gaining 262 yards on the ground – the fifth-most in school history – and setting a team record with 11.4 yards per carry.
