The standing ovation for Roy Williams lasted 58 seconds, but it seemingly could’ve gone on for an hour. North Carolina’s esteemed basketball coach tried to end it much sooner, to be sure. He pointed to his players out on the court. He pointed to his assistants. He sat down and shook his head. He fiddled with his plaid blue-and-black blazer. He adjusted his white mock turtleneck. Through it all, the crowd kept cheering. (Sporting News)
