The euphoria from a historically strong start to the football season pushed Duke to a big lead a week ago at Virginia Tech. The disintegration of that 20-point lead left the fast-developing team frustrated. The challenge, heading into tonight’s rivalry game with North Carolina at Wallace Wade Stadium (7 p.m., ESPNU), is to not let the deflating 41-20 loss at Virginia Tech carry over.
