Rachel Dawson Named Progress Energy Tar Heel Of The Week

Field hockey senior back/midfielder Rachel Dawson scored what would prove to be the game-winning goal and added an assist against fourth-ranked Wake Forest to earn Progress Energy Player of the Week honors for the week ending Sept. 30, 2007. The top-ranked Tar Heels beat the Deacons 5-0 on Saturday to improve to 12-0 overall and 2-0 in the ACC. (Tar Heel Blue)
