UNC ranks 11th in pre-season AP poll

North Carolina is ranked 11th in the preseason Associated Press poll, released Friday, one spot better than USA Today's preseason coaches poll. Eleventh is the lowest the Tar Heels have opened in the AP preseason poll since 2005-06, when they were not ranked.
