North Carolina gets 16 points from James Michael McAdoo in exhibition win over Shaw

James Michael McAdoo had 16 points and eight rebounds to help No. 11 North Carolina beat Shaw 81-54 on Friday night in the Tar Heels’ only preseason exhibition. Freshman Joel James added 13 points and seven rebounds for the Tar Heels, who missed 10 of their first 11 attempts from 3-point range and trailed early in the second half before ripping off 23 consecutive points.
