Casey Barth named semifinalist for Lou Groza Award

Casey Barth was left off the preseason watch list for the Lou Groza award because of questions about the groin injury that forced him to miss most of last season. After making 15 of his first 18 field goals and all 40 of his extra point attempts through the Tar Heels’ first nine games, the redshirt senior is back in contention for the award recognizing the nation’s best college kicker.
