Jerod Haase gets pleasant surprise from old boss Roy Williams

UAB head men's basketball coach Jerod Haase was in for a treat when he took the court at Bartow Arena 30 minutes before the Blazers' first regular season game against Young Harris College. On the Blazers' bench was Roy Williams, the North Carolina head coach who coached Haase at Kansas and mentored him through the years as an assistant at Kansas and UNC.
