The college coaching fraternity is a tight-knit community, and Dan Monson and Roy Williams have known each other for about twenty years. When North Carolina signed top prospects David and Travis Wear out of Orange County a few years ago, Monson knew that the Tar Heels often try to schedule games near home for their seniors, and saw an opportunity.
