Kennedy Meeks Commits to UNC
Posted Nov 16, 2012
Kennedy Meeks, a 4-star center and major North Carolina recruiting target from West Charlotte High School, has committed to North Carolina over the Georgetown Hoyas. Meeks made his announcement live on ESPNU Friday evening.
Meeks had recently narrowed his list to North Carolina and Georgetown, and with his commitment he becomes the third member of UNC's 2013 basketball recruiting class, joining point guard Nate Britt and power forward Isaiah Hicks.
The final major target on the Tar Heels' 2013 recruiting board is the consensus #1 player in high school basketball, small forward Andrew Wiggins. Wiggins lists UNC among his top-5 schools but is not expected to decide any time soon.
