Heralded Houston gets his chance in backfield
Posted Sep 26, 2007
Listed at 6-foot-2 and 245 pounds, Ryan Houston is a powerful runner who came to North Carolina highly regarded. But through UNC's first three games, the only playing time he received was in practice. That changed during Saturday's 37-10 loss at South Florida, when he was finally called on in the second half. The freshman from the Charlotte suburb of Matthews gained 43 yards on 11 carries and scored a touchdown.
