UNC Evaluating 2014 5-Star Shooting Guard D'Angelo Russell

North Carolina continues to widen its search for a shooting guard in the 2014 recruiting class, according to Tar Heel Illustrated recruiting analyst Clint Jackson via Twitter.
"UNC has been down twice to see 2014 SG D'Angelo Russell at Montverde Academy (FL). The smooth wing has drawn comparisons to Jeremy Lamb."
Russell is a consensus 5-star recruit and is ranked by Scout.com as the #1 shooting guard in the 2014 class. He joins Theo Pinson, Grayson Allen, and Rashad Vaughn, who are also being looked at by the Tar Heels. Pinson and Allen have recently visited UNC, however, Pinson appears to be the top target at the moment.
