Yates to start against Hokies
Posted Sep 25, 2007
Butch Davis said he expects quarterback T.J. Yates to respond positively after his four-interception, four-sack outing Saturday during the Tar Heels' 37-10 loss at South Florida. The redshirt freshman will remain the starter for Saturday's game at No. 17 Virginia Tech. "Every challenge, when he has done poorly himself, he's been able to wipe it off and put it behind him," Davis said Monday. "It will be part of his growth."
