Heels' learning curve goes up

Butch Davis has seen his first UNC team show enough improvement to be only two field goals away from a 3-0 start. At the same time, losses are losses. And Davis isn't talking about moral victories. Balancing optimism and realism requires a delicate touch for Davis. He's pushing hard to rebuild the downtrodden program, yet he's trying to remain patient as the Tar Heels try to absorb everything their new coach is teaching.
