Roy Williams visits point guard Joel Berry
Posted Dec 11, 2012
Roy Williams attended 2014 5-star point guard Joel Berry's game in Florida on Monday. What's ironic, and perhaps even more impressive, is that Berry wasn't even playing. Berry tore his meniscus in a game on Saturday and is expected to be out 4-6 weeks. Despite the injury, however, Berry's uncle Tweeted that they had a great visit:
"Me and the #Fam Jst completed a gr8 meeting with #CoachRoyWilliams Frm #UNC who came to see nephew @JoelBerryII . What a great #90min"
Berry is one of three point guards on UNC's 2014 recruiting board. Berry and fellow 5-star Tyus Jones both have received scholarship offers from UNC, while 4-star Shelton Mitchell is also receiving heavy interest.
