Passing game gets high marks

Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks has a suggestion for all the opposing secondaries North Carolina will face this season: "Just be ready. Because we're coming." In three games, the Tar Heels already have completed four passing plays of 50 yards or more -- to four different receivers. Their top three wideouts are averaging 18.2 yards per catch.
