T.J. Yates appears ahead of schedule

By the way he threw, learned and led, T.J. Yates was going to be a great quarterback, predicted North Carolina receiver Hakeem Nicks. Just not quite this fast. Indeed, a year after being largely ignored by UNC's previous coaching regime -- he wasn't even asked to attend quarterback meetings -- Yates, a redshirt freshman, has injected himself into the national scene.
