ACC football coaches getting lucrative deals

At North Carolina, for example, the athletics department pays Butch Davis a base salary of $286,000. That alone makes him one of the highest-paid employees at the university. Roy Williams’ base is $325,000, and he will make up to $1.8 million a year under the terms of an extension announced last spring. Davis received a payment of $750,000 last Saturday - coincidentally, the day of his ACC opener against Virginia.
