P.J. Hairston scored a career-high 23 points to lead UNC to a 77-72 win at Florida State on Jan. 12, 2013, in the Tucker Center in Tallahassee. Hairston set a career high for field goals, shooting 9 for 14 from the floor, and hit 4 of 9 three-point tries. He also grabbed four rebounds in 28 minutes. Jackson Simmons, celebrating his 20th birthday, scored a career-high eight points and grabbed four rebounds.
