Cedric Peerman rushed for 186 yards and one touchdown as the Virginia Cavaliers defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels, 22-20, in an ACC tussle from Kenan Stadium. The Tar Heels were led by T. J. Yates, who threw for 339 yards and three touchdowns. Yates completed 25-of-38 passes, but also tossed an interception in the loss. Hakeem Nicks was the main target, as the wide out grabbed seven passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns.
