Tar Heels fall to Cavaliers in ACC opener

Nate Collins swatted down North Carolina’s chance of winning its ACC opener. Collins, a squat defensive lineman, batted away a two-point conversion pass by quarterback T.J. Yates with 1:57 left to give Virginia a 22-20 victory at Kenan Stadium. The play ended a furious UNC rally in the final 3:30 in which Yates marched his team 85 yards for a touchdown.
