Hakeem Nicks picks up steam

North Carolina receiver Hakeem Nicks reached high for the ball near the 35-yard line Saturday, then trampled Virginia's Vic Hall near the goal line. Coming off perhaps the most disappointing game of his career, Nicks helped rally the Tar Heels on Saturday. The difference in a 22-20 North Carolina loss was a missed two-point conversion attempt after Virginia led 16-0 in the first half. (Charlotte Observer)
