Marcus Paige steps up vs. Virginia Tech

A 6-for-14 outing doesn’t exactly make the surest shot in Tar Heel history. But, in a game in which the Virginia Tech zone defense allowed Paige to pop open on a number of occasions, the freshman showed he wasn’t afraid to shoot. And he made his fair share, especially in overtime with eight of UNC’s 17 points. “In overtime, he was the most important player out there for us,” Williams said. (Greensboro News & Record)
