Isaiah Hicks' triple-double helps Webb advance in playoffs

Isaiah Hicks’ 24 points, 11 rebounds and 10 blocks led J.F. Webb by Asheboro Monday, 82-47, in the opening round of the 3-A state playoffs. No. 4 Webb (22-5) advanced to host No. 5 Southern Wayne (17-8) Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Warriors used nine first-half 3-pointers, including six treys from point guard Devonte Williams, to build a 45-25 halftime lead on No. 13 Asheboro.
