Pirates know North Carolina game offers big opportunity

East Carolina has spent much of its time in recent years clamoring for a share of the spotlight while ACC schools North Carolina and NC State grab most of the attention. That's why Saturday's home opener against the Tar Heels represents such a big opportunity for the Pirates. East Carolina knows that a win against its instate rival could go a long way in proving that coach Skip Holtz's program is ready to take another step forward.
